Flanged connections are the standard method for joining piping systems, pressure vessels, and equipment across every industrial sector. The right flange-and-gasket combination ensures leak-free operation under pressure, temperature, and vibration. Getting it wrong means shutdowns, safety incidents, and costly rework.
Hicool sources flanges from Chinese forges holding ASME, PED, and classification society approvals. We supply across all three major international standards — ASME B16.5/B16.47 for the American market, EN 1092-1 for European projects, and JIS B2220 for Japanese and Korean shipyards. Gaskets are matched to flange ratings and service conditions, supplied from specialist manufacturers with ASME B16.20 and B16.21 compliance.
Flange Types & Material Selection
Our flange supply covers all standard types: weld neck (WN) for high-pressure critical service, slip-on (SO) for general applications, blind (BL) for line termination, socket weld (SW) for small-bore high-pressure lines, and threaded flanges for non-welded connections. Specialty types including long weld neck, lap joint, and orifice flanges are available on request.
Material grades include ASTM A105 (carbon steel), A182 F304/F304L and F316/F316L (stainless steel), A182 F51 (duplex 2205), and A182 F11/F22 (chrome-moly alloy). For low-temperature service, A350 LF2 flanges are supplied with impact testing at -46°C or lower per project requirements.
Gasket Selection Guide
Gasket selection depends on flange face type, operating pressure, temperature, and media compatibility. We supply spiral wound gaskets (SWG) with graphite or PTFE filler for raised-face flanges, ring-type joint (RTJ) gaskets in soft iron, SS304, or SS316 for RTJ-face flanges, and sheet gaskets in compressed fiber, PTFE, and graphite for low-pressure applications.

Every flange is dimensionally inspected against the applicable standard. We verify bore, OD, bolt circle diameter, bolt hole count, thickness, and face finish (Ra value) before packing.

What is the lead time for forged flanges?
Standard sizes in A105 and A182 F304/F316 are typically available from stock within 1-2 weeks. Large-bore flanges (above 24″), high-alloy grades, and Class 900+ ratings require 6-12 weeks.
Can flanges be supplied with PED certification?
Yes. Our forge partners hold PED 2014/68/EU Module H certification. Flanges are supplied with Declaration of Conformity and CE marking where required by your project.
